o/PHANTOMFUSE is based on FUSE for macOS and needs its kernel extension to provide you with the virtual file system. For this kernel extensions need to be enabled specifically. You will need to reboot into macOS Recovery Mode to do this.

  • Shutdown/Reboot

  • Hold Power/Touch-ID to launch Startup Options. Select “Options”

  • Select “Startup Security Utility” from Utilities menu

  • Open “Security Policy…” for the startup disk

  • Enable Kernel Extensions. The Security Policy has
Select "Reduced Security" -> "Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers". Allowing remote management is not needed.

  • Reboot into macOS, under the “Apple” Menu.
